Review and export events

A logged event is not only in the diary: on the Reports / Export page, under the Events tab, every event of the site sits in one table, in chronological order — filterable, sortable and downloadable (CSV or Excel). This is the view you use for an across-shifts overview or for an audit.

Before you start

• Permission: the “Events report” right — report:events. Without it the Events tab does not appear (you may still see the other Reports tabs you have rights to).
• Where to find it: the Reports / Export entry in the account menu (top right).
• Which site’s data: decided by your role’s site access, not by this tab. A company-wide role sees all sites together; a site-bound role sees its own.

Steps

1. Open the account menu and choose Reports / Export.
2. Switch to the Events tab. The site’s events appear in a table, newest first.
3. Narrow it down if needed (filtering is instant — no server round-trip):
   • Search… — searches the title, description, installation location and reporter name,
   • All types — narrows to one event type (HSE, Technical fault, …),
   • with more than one site / plant, a Site and Plant filter also appear.
4. Sort by clicking a column header (the arrow shows the direction); click again to reverse. The default is Time, descending (newest first).
5. Read a row: Time (with the logging shift underneath), Type, Severity (a badge for HSE), Title (with the installation location and the Downtime / Production loss badge, if any), Reporter.
6. Export if needed: Download CSV or Download Excel. The download is exactly the filtered and sorted table you see — or the full list if there is no filter.

The event’s STATE is not here either

The table has no “open / investigating / closed” column, and you cannot filter on one — by design. An event’s lifecycle (state) is not surfaced anywhere in OPEREX today; if it ever is, it gets its own place. See the background in Log an event.

If it worked

The table shows the events matching the filter, with the count at the top. On export, your browser downloads the .csv or .xlsx file — its contents are, row by row, what you see on screen.

Common problems

What you see	Why	What to do
“No events recorded yet.”	Not a single event has been logged for your site.	Nothing to do. As soon as someone logs one in the diary, it shows up here.
“No events match the filter.”	The filter (search / type / site / plant) excludes every row.	Clear the search box and set the type back to “All types”.
No “Events” tab	You do not have the report:events permission.	Ask your admin. If you see another tab (e.g. Tasks), you have rights to those but not to Events.
A site’s events are missing	Your role has no access to that site.	This is a deliberate access limit; ask your admin for the site access if you need it.

Worth knowing

• The export equals the screen. The CSV/Excel mirrors the current filter and sort, not the full raw data — so you take away exactly what you are looking at.
• Filtering happens in your browser, with no server reload — which is why it is instant.
• The other report tabs work the same way. Maintenance, Tasks and Instructions have the same structure (search, filter, sortable columns, CSV/Excel), each behind its own permission.
