What are cookies and browser-stored data?
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. localStorage also stores data in your browser, but — unlike a cookie — it is never sent to the server; it stays on your device only.
The website (operex.eu)
The operex.eu marketing website sets no cookies. It only stores your display preferences in your browser’s localStorage:
| Item | Location | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
operex-theme | localStorage | Your dark / light theme choice | Until you clear it |
operex-lang-hint | localStorage | Remembers that you dismissed the language hint bar | Until you clear it |
The application ({slug}.operex.eu)
The signed-in application uses a single strictly necessary cookie to keep your session (logged-in state):
| Cookie | Category | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
session | Necessary | Identifies your signed-in session (httpOnly, Secure, scoped to .operex.eu subdomains) | Until the session ends — 8 hours, or 30 days with “remember me” |
The theme preference is stored in localStorage (operex-theme) here too. Without the session cookie, signing in does not work.
Third-party cookies
OPEREX does not use any third-party analytics or marketing cookies (e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel). If we introduce any in the future, we will update this notice in advance and, where required, ask for your consent.
Managing cookies and stored data
You can review and delete cookies and stored data at any time in your browser settings. If you block the necessary session cookie, signing in and using the application will not be possible.
