Qualifications, training and exams for your own employees, in one place
Who is qualified for what, what expires, who learned what and passed which exam — on record, and tied to the permit-to-work competence gate. Contractor documents stay in the PTW module.

What the Training module does
Six parts, one register. Every point describes what ships today.
- Qualification register: types with validity and warning period, a matrix and an expiry list, Excel export. Entries cannot be edited or deleted — you revoke a wrong one with a reason and record a new one.
- Medical fitness: only the result is recorded, no attachment can be uploaded, and only people with the separate permission see it.
- Courses and material with versions: Markdown with formulas and tables, PDF, video, image or link. A new version can be published with a “retraining required” flag.
- Question bank and exams: single and multiple choice, true/false and numeric questions with tolerance, JSON or Excel import with a dry-run check. Grading is automatic and runs on the server — the correct answer never reaches the browser before submission.
- Assignments and notifications: audience by site, plant, job role or person, with a due date and recurrence by validity; a self-paced window or a session with an attendance list. Learners work on the “My trainings” tab, on a phone too, and get an email digest.
- Practical assessment with an assessor and a different observer, and a certificate PDF for the successful grant.
Exam defaults: 80% to pass, 3 attempts, 24 hours between attempts, and critical questions can be marked — adjustable per exam. A submitted attempt is frozen and stored with a fingerprint.
Tied to the permit to work and the shift scheduler
With Training on, your own employee's PTW competence comes from the qualification register, existing internal PTW documents can be taken over with a one-time, logged copy, and the shift scheduler's exam grid reads from it too. With it off, the PTW module works with its own rows, as it does today.
Campaign start-up: readiness is part of the production campaign
In batch (campaign) production, every start-up needs the same proof: is the start-up checklist done, and who is prepared. The Shift Log's Campaign start-up add-in runs exactly that.
- Phases per plant: Planned → Start-up → Production → Shutdown → Closed (Ramp-up is optional). The phase shows in the diary header and in the diary PDF.
- A start-up checklist from the plant's base list or the previous campaign, with signed gates at phase changes.
- “Who takes which exam”: the campaign assigns the exam through a Training assignment — this needs the Training module too.
Being rolled out: for pilot customers, on custom quote — it cannot be ordered on its own yet. If your plant runs in campaigns, let's talk.
