Set up the shift schedule

The Shift schedule describes which shifts the plant runs (12- or 8-hour), with their labels and time windows. The diary uses this: an opened diary is tied to the right shift, and the timing of closing also follows the shift’s end.

  • Permission: the shift-schedule right — tenant_role:manage.
  • Where to find it: the Shift schedule tab in the management area.
A shift's row: its label field (Morning), the start and end time (06:00–14:00), the Active checkbox and the Save button.
A shift’s row: label + time window + Active checkbox. 12-hour = 2 shifts (day/night), 8-hour = 3.
  1. Open the Shift schedule tab.
  2. Pick a best-practice preset to start — 12-hour (2 shifts) or 8-hour (3 shifts).
  3. Adjust the labels and times in each shift’s row (e.g. Morning · 06:00–14:00).
  4. Use the Active checkbox to enable the shifts you use.
  5. Click Save on the row.

The active shifts appear in the diary with the label and time window you set; the system knows from the time which shift’s diary is currently live.
