My to-dos on the home page
The My to-dos block shows, on the first screen after sign-in, what is waiting for you. Its content is different for every viewer: everyone sees their own to-dos — the admin can place the block on the home page, but does not see other people’s to-dos either.
What it shows
Section titled “What it shows”Items are grouped by source; every row takes you to the to-do.
| Source | When an item appears |
|---|---|
| Tasks | A task assigned to you or to your pool is still open (not started / in progress) in an open diary. If anyone in the pool completes it, it disappears for everyone. If the same task is open in two diaries, each row also shows the diary’s day and shift. |
| Work permits | Waiting on you according to your permissions: waiting to be issued (someone else’s request — you cannot issue your own) · waiting for countersignature (only where a countersignature is required and you did not issue it) · handed back — waiting to be closed · a permit you coordinate · a new PTW rule set is waiting to be adopted (only with the Legal tracking add-in) · expiring contractor documents (for people who manage the person register — the home page “Expiring documents” bar then does not repeat this row) |
| Campaign gates | Only with the Campaign start-up add-in: a gate of a running campaign that you can sign now (according to your permission and the gate order; if you signed “Ready to start” and distinct signers are required, you do not get the second one) — or one that must be re-signed after the plan was changed. |
| Training | Only with the Training module on: a training or exam assigned to you that is still open (overdue · renewal due · due soon · assigned). An assignment that has not opened yet or is completed does not appear. Your account must be linked to an employee. |
| Public reports — cluster | Only with the Reporter add-in, for event handlers: several reports arrived for the same zone within a short time. The row leads to the incoming list under Reports → Events. |
A task without an assignee is the whole shift’s job — it shows in the diary, not here.
Order and markers
Section titled “Order and markers”- Overdue → due today → soon → open. Groups are ordered by their most urgent item.
- Every row starts with a label + marker (never colour alone):
!overdue ·●today ·◔soon ·○open. - At most 5 items show per group; the “+N more” line states the rest and takes you to the source page.
Three states the block states out loud
Section titled “Three states the block states out loud”| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| Nothing to do ✓ | Every source answered and none has anything waiting for you. |
| One source cannot be read right now… | A source failed — the list may be incomplete, so we do not say “Nothing to do”. |
| Your to-dos cannot be read right now | The whole block failed to load; the rest of the home page works. |
If something is missing
Section titled “If something is missing”| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| No My to-dos block | The admin switched it off or removed it from the home page. | Ask your admin (customising the home page). |
| An assigned task does not appear | Another site is selected, the diary has been closed, or you have no right to record task status. | Switch site on the home page; check the diary. |
| No work-permit group | The Work permit module is not switched on for your organisation, or you have no right to it. | A switched-off module adds no items — this is not an error. |
