Campaign progress and the Plant status block
On the Campaigns page, each plant tile shows the running campaign’s progress: one figure (“126 / 200 t · 63%”), one bar and the expected end. The same appears in the Plant status block on the home page. There is no new data entry: the figure comes from the shift diary.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- The Campaign add-in is switched on, the plant is a campaign plant, and the campaign has started (Startup or a later phase).
- A quantity field is selected for the plant (Campaign settings page → Campaign plants → the plant’s row): an integer or decimal diary field in which the shift records the quantity produced.
- Permission: campaign:view.
Where the actual quantity comes from
Section titled “Where the actual quantity comes from”- The sum of the selected field over the campaign’s closed shift logs (the value of a shift that is still open is not a fact and is not included). If the field has several rows (a table), every row is added.
- A shift log belongs to the campaign that was running at the end of the shift — the same rule as the phase indicator in the diary header. Logs before the campaign started (the first step out of Planned) and after it was closed / withdrawn are not counted.
- The figure also shows how many closed shift logs contributed.
When it says “No data” (and not 0)
Section titled “When it says “No data” (and not 0)”| Label | Reason |
|---|---|
| Not started yet | the campaign is in the Planned phase |
| No quantity field selected | no field is set for the plant |
| Field archived or not numeric | the selected field was archived meanwhile, or is no longer numeric |
| No quantity recorded | the field is empty in the campaign’s closed shift logs |
A real 0 (someone entered 0) is shown as 0.
The expected end
Section titled “The expected end”The system estimates from the pace so far, in a straight line: pace = actual ÷ (end of the last contributing shift − the campaign start); expected end = the last data point + (plan − actual) ÷ pace. Interruptions and a slow startup are part of the pace.
There is no estimate (the label says why) when:
- the campaign is closed — the figure is final;
- the planned quantity is reached;
- there is no planned quantity;
- the product and the diary field have different units (e.g. “t” and “kg”) — the two figures are then shown with their units side by side, without a percentage;
- the pace is zero (nothing produced yet);
- the estimated end would be more than a year away;
- the estimated end is already in the past but the plan is not met — the latest shifts are still open or recorded no quantity, so a date computed from old data would mislead.
The Plant status block on the home page
Section titled “The Plant status block on the home page”- Lists the campaign plants of the active site: the running campaign’s phase (colour + symbol + label), number, product, progress and planned end; if no campaign is running on the plant, “Idle” and the next approved campaign. Each row opens the campaign.
- Appears only with the Campaign add-in switched on, the campaign:view permission and at least one campaign plant; otherwise the block is not shown. In the home page editor (the Home page tab of the management area) it can be moved and switched off; by default it sits below My to-dos.
What it does NOT show
Section titled “What it does NOT show”No chart (burn-up), no plan-vs-actual variance table and no comparison of campaigns — this view does not show them.
