The common Tasks view (Cross-module)

The common Tasks view lists every source module’s tasks in one place: where each comes from, which plant and site, its category, its current status, and whether it is activated. This is an aggregated tracking view for the supervisory audience — people who issue tasks, or who view the task report. You do not edit here: recording stays with the source module.

  • Permission: the task-issuing or task-report right — task:issue or report:tasks. Without either, the menu item is not shown.
  • Where to find it: the Cross-module group in the top-right menu, on the Tasks (cross-module) entry.
  1. Open Cross-module › Tasks (cross-module) in the header menu.
  2. Filter by source module in the top pill bar (All · Diary task · Maintenance). Each pill also shows a count.
  3. If you have several sites or plants, filter by site or plant with the dropdowns. (They appear only when there is actually something to choose from.)
  4. Sort by clicking any column header. By default the ones needing attention come first: overdue, then not done, not finished, in progress.
  5. For a task’s full history, click its title — a popup shows where and when it appeared, with what status, and who changed it.

Below the filtered list you see how many tasks match the filter. Rows follow the chosen sort; overdue tasks get a separate red badge. If you have the task-issuing right, a link at the bottom of the history popup takes you to the editing page.

What you see Why What to do
No “Tasks (cross-module)” menu item You have neither task:issue nor report:tasks. Ask your admin — without it there is nothing to track.
Only diary tasks, no “Maintenance” Your organization does not use (or has not enabled) the Maintenance module. Not a bug — the view shows the enabled modules.
I cannot edit from here The common view is deliberately read-only. To edit, go to the Shift-diary module’s Tasks tab (the link is at the bottom of the history popup).
I cannot see another site’s task You only see tasks for your accessible sites. This is site isolation; if you need access, ask your admin.
  • This is not the Task report. The common view tracks the tasks’ current status live; the Tasks report is a period summary (with export).
  • Not a module, not a dashboard. An aggregated, read-only list for the supervisory audience — to avoid duplicating editing, that stays in one place (the source module).
  • The site filter is display only. Actual access is decided by the server (site isolation); the filter only narrows the already-visible rows.
