Customizing the home page

The Home page tab sets the content of the page users land on after login: which blocks appear, in what order, and the operational notices, links and contacts. This is every colleague’s first screen at each sign-in.

  • Permission: the home-management right — home:manage (or full tenant admin).
  • Where to find it: the Home page tab in the management area.
  • ⚠️ Editing the company base requires access to all sites; with a site-scoped right you can only edit that one site’s level.

Which level are you editing? (company base ⟂ site)

Section titled “Which level are you editing? (company base ⟂ site)”

The home page has two levels — the same logic as the report template:

  • Company base — the default that every site inherits.
  • Site — a site may deviate from the company base with its own layout.

On the level selector, the “own” marker means that level has its own settings. The label states either “This level follows the company base” or “This level DEVIATES from the company base — it has its own layout.” The Back to the company base button clears the site’s own layout (it then inherits again).

The home page is made of blocks. Use the arrows to reorder and the switch to turn them on/off. Some blocks cannot be removed / are always visible.

Block What it shows
Header and identity Hero image · company name · site · clock (hero/company name are set on the General and Public page tabs — one source)
Site switcher Only with multiple sites; otherwise silently omitted
Internal welcome The inward-facing briefing (the outward-facing description lives on the Public page tab)
Operational notices The block controls placement + the switch; you manage the notices below
Shift diary entry Current shift + plant selector
Module grid Permissions decide the tiles, not this tab
Documents and internal links Operating instructions, intranet, emergency numbers
Who to contact Free-text contacts (gatehouse, external contractors — not app users)
Report a problem Takes you to the Help reporter

The most important operational element of the home page: a short message to every colleague who signs in.

  1. Click + New notice.
  2. Enter the notice text.
  3. Set the severityInformation or Warning.
  4. Set the scopeAll sites or the current site.
  5. Optionally set Valid from / until — empty means no limit. An expired notice is not shown on the home page, but you still see it here (marked Expired / Not yet active).
  6. Set it enabled to make it visible; save.
  1. + Add link, then enter the Label and the Address (URL).
  2. Choose the TargetInternet · Internal network · Within the app — and whether it opens in a New tab.

With + Add contact you add free-text contacts: Role, Name, Phone, Email. This is the place for the gatehouse or an external contractor who are not app users.

On large screens, the content width: Diary width (same as the shift diary’s centre column, a calmer line length) or Wide (the full screen). No effect on mobile.

The Open preview button opens the real home page in a new tab — there is no separate preview that could diverge from it. After Save, the change is live.

What you see Why What to do
No “Home page” tab You do not have the home:manage (or full admin) right. Ask your admin.

A notice does not appear on the home page Expired / not yet active / disabled, or a different scope. Check the validity, the switch and the scope.
The hero image/company name is not edited here They come from one source. Set them on the General (company name) and Public page (hero) tabs.
